Via AIPT, Vault Comics announced that it will be releasing “Wifwulf” (stylized as “Wifwvlf”), a werewolf story by writer / artist Dailen Ogden and co-authors Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing. Set in Montana in the 1860s, the book follows Charity Bjornsdotter, a young woman who spends her days in the forests and whose best friend is a wolf named Silver Slash.

When her fiancé forcibly separates them, Charity “begins to feel a call to nature… because that’s where her true destiny awaits her. ‘Wifwulf’ is the poignant tale of a woman forcibly separated from what makes her feel alive, a reinterpretation of the classic werewolf myth… and the origin story of a new goddess.

The book launched on Kickstarter on October 14, where it was fully funded within one day. Vault Editor-in-Chief Adrian Wassel said: “’Wifwulf’ is fascinating – a dance of grace and brutality that will touch any reader, but especially those who have found the courage to pull themselves together after being hurt. I am so honored to join the pack. Scream with us. Ogden commented, “Vault has long been a champion of unique, high-quality books, and their support allows us to put ‘Wifwulf’ in many other hands. “

“Wifwulf” will be released in mid-2022. The Kickstarter campaign will run through November 13, and those who pre-order the book will receive various exclusives such as “an exclusive foil cover, campaign-specific merchandise and signed bookplates that will not be available in the direct market. “.
