Of the myriad things Berlin is known for, nightlife ranks quite high on the list. While you can spend your days at museums and art exhibitions, when the sun goes down, clubs and bars take over the city. From raves with free spirits that last for days to inclusive celebrations suitable for almost any community, partying is in Berlin’s very DNA.
For fashion and regular photographer vogue donor Tereza Mundilova, the pandemic has changed — but not killed — the party. “The last two years have been different in Berlin. It is very famous for its nightlife but all the clubs were pretty much closed all the time. Now that things are opening up again, I appreciate much more how valuable these events are and how they bring people together,” shares Mundilova. Having traveled across Europe capturing artistic representations of various cities, his heart truly lies in Berlin and its epic club scene.

She adds: “Many of my friends work as DJs, musicians and producers. For them, the nightlife is essential, so it is all the more important for me to bring it back. And finally, partying is all about happiness and laughter. One of the best parties I’ve been to recently was when an old lady we didn’t know joined us for a dance. Good to see the city coming back to life. »
As a true lover of the indie set, Mundilova’s picks pre-select exclusive spots where the cool kids hang out, some of which you’ll be lucky enough to enter uninvited. If you’re planning a visit to the bustling party town, don’t miss the best kickbacks in town hosted by Mundilova, plus a bonus dinner recommendation by vogue.

Berghain
“It’s my all-time favorite club – you’ll find the best artists in Berlin here,” says Mundilova. A cultural institution in its own right, the Berghain has become such an icon of techno music that it is placed in the same tax bracket as concert halls and museums.

brutal bar
When Mundilova is looking for natural wine, Bar Brutal is her reference. This stylishly hidden speakeasy also offers quality whiskey and sake. If you’re feeling adventurous, ask the bartenders to concoct you a cocktail that combines the two – they’re known for making deliciously potent concoctions.

Fez Turkish BBQ
You can’t go to Berlin without trying some Mediterranean food, so head to Fez’s Turkish BBQ. With warm service, attentive staff (the owner speaks English, so don’t worry about the language barrier) and fork-grilled meats served in big portions, you’ll be full before the night is out.
