In 2021, Olivia Rodrigo released her first album, Sour, paid a visit to President Joe Biden at the White House, secured No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 list with his hit “Good 4 You” and celebrated a monumental birthday. What she hasn’t done – at least not yet – is get a tattoo.

The singer, who turned 18 on February 20, revealed in an interview on The Roz and Mocha show by Kiss 92.5 that she was considering getting a tattoo to celebrate her birthday, but ultimately decided to wait for now.

“It’s my 18th, so it’s a big hit, so I wanted to do something fun,” Rodrigo said. “I think the plan now is to get myself – I was going to get a tattoo or a piercing, and I was like ‘Ah, I don’t want to get a tattoo’, so I’m just going to have a second ear piercing.”

Although at the moment, she’s not entirely sure if she’ll ever get a tattoo, she shared what her first piece of body art would be if she ended up doing it: Taylor Swift tattoo. Specifically, a 13 of the singer Intrepid to visit. “I wanted to have one with my best friend – we’re both like huge Swifties,” Rodrigo said. “We wanted to have like a little 13 year old baby.” Like the one Swift drew in Sharpie on her hand on the 2009-2010 tour.

As a longtime Swift fan, Rodrigo was thrilled to finally meet his music idol at the 2021 BRIT Awards in May, and the couple even got a adorable photo set. We don’t know if this makes a difference in terms of tattoo plans, but we think it would make their friendship even sweeter.

In the meantime, many fans are getting tattoos for Rodrigo, with popular drawings including lyrics from his song “Brutal” and drawings of his tongue from Sour album cover.
